This time I have a valid excuse as to why my Anderson update is a full week late ... I had/have (?) mastitis. I felt super achy while leaving the gym Tuesday morning and it went all downhill from there. Plus I was waiting for Anderson's 4 month doctor's appointment to hit publish (it's not until Monday morning).
I consider myself a terrible mom because I can't really remember much from the past month. Ace is definitely alert/awake more and seems more interactive ... lots of cooing and smiling which is nice.
His eczema is at an all time worst and I feel so bad for how itchy he looks. He spends all day scratching himself and is now forced to wear socks on his hands at all times. I tried eliminating dairy from my diet for 2.5 weeks and at the time I didn't think it helped. Since re-introducing dairy, though, I feel he's been so much more itchy.
On the sleep front he's been doing 4-6 hour stretches at night and about 3 naps during the day. The morning and evening naps are pretty dismal but I've been working on his afternoon nap and it's been the longest. We did hit some 3 hour nights recently but I blame that on the 4 month sleep regression.
Ace went on his first long car ride during the 4th of July weekend. He was a champ. He also went to the beach for the first time and slept in a pack-n-play the entire time instead of a crib. It seems like every day is a new first for that kid.
