Let me start off by saying that I am very grateful and thankful that I get to stay at home with Mason. It's a tough job but so rewarding. It's been especially tough while pregnant, when my nerves are shot and my patience levels are low.
So after a pretty rough morning with Mason I knew I had to get out of the house and let off some steam. Ryan is working from home but has some intense conference calls to deal with so he wasn't too keen on me leaving. I promised him that Mason had fallen asleep for his nap and that I would be back in an hour from the YMCA.
I raced, I mean, safely drove to the gym, parked, power walked inside and headed straight to the indoor track.
I knocked out 3.5 miles in under 31 minutes then was ready to head home. I made it back in 50 minutes and even got to shower. Thankfully my little monkey is still napping and I get a few more quiet moments to myself.
Don't take running or exercising for granted. Those minutes of working out are such a great stress reliever and definitely help make me a better person.
