pregnancy #2 - week 16

oh lordy ... if I could re-title this post "hot mess" I would.  I normally do these photo shoots while Mason naps ... relatively early in the afternoon.  today the day slipped by with way too much going on and I ended up dragging myself downstairs after I put Mason to bed to take a few photos.  holy moly I look rough.  I apologize.  Not every day (pregnant or not) is going to be a great day.  and for the record I rarely wear make up (don't see the point when my current outfit includes gym shorts, sports bra, and tank) and today was clearly a day that I needed it (and a good face washing from last night's make up).

the weather in Charlotte has been cold, gray and rainy ... not to mention I think I'm starting/fighting off/getting over a cold.  I started feeling sick after my flu shot on Monday (go figure).

anyways ... back to week 16.  I had a doctor's appointment on Monday morning and got to hear the baby's heart beat (yay!).  baby seemed fine and healthy.  I got some blood drawn for some more tests and scheduled our "anatomy" ultra sound for October 13th.

current weight - 113 pounds
current favorite song - Meghan Trainor "All About That Bass" (seriously what has taken me so long to find out about this?)
current number of potty breaks at night - 1 to 3 times
current favorite food - BREAD.  love any type of bread product.
currently - watching Mason on the monitor as he tries to fall asleep

week 16 was also the week that the bump decided to pop.  it's pretty clear now that I am in fact pregnant and quite a few friends have made it known to me that they too can see the bump.  thanks everyone I really appreciate it.  clothes are still fitting so no need to bust out any maternity wear (except for my weekly gray tank).  

according to, baby is about 4.6 inches long and 3.5 ounces (roughly the size of an avocado)
