since becoming pregnant I've decreased my running mileage. I honestly don't feel up to running as many miles as I was before I was pregnant. I've also began to run slower, to keep my heart rate from spiking too much.
with these modifications have come some adjustments to previous running goals:
- I no longer will hit 1,000 miles for the year. I'm aiming to break last year's record of 774 miles so hopefully it'll be 800+
- my 5k pace is now considerably slower than previous PR
I won a free race entry (thanks to Start 2 Finish Charlotte) to the South End Shuffle for this Saturday, September 27th. This will be baby's 3rd race and I'll be close to 17 weeks pregnant.
What I hope to accomplish on Saturday's race:
- finish the race without walking
- finish the race in under 30 minutes
wish me luck!
