April running in review

I just got home from running my last miles in the month of April and to be honest with you, I'm surprised I was able to run at all today.

Ryan and I walked over 5.5 miles during the Wells Fargo Golf Tournament at the Quail Hollow Country Club.  We parked at the Harris YMCA after dropping Mason off at parents' morning out, and walked to the golf course.  During the event we walked quite a bit and then had the long walk back to the gym to pick Mason up.  Needless to say I have quite a few blisters on my feet from the Sperry's (boat shoes) I wore (I should've worn sneakers but fashion took over my brain this morning).  Oh and the hot dog I ate as a nice 11am lunch wasn't the best choice in pre-running fuel.

Anyways, April was a fantastic month of running.  I ran the most miles EVER, won 3rd place female overall at the Know Your Craft 5k, and got to run a few times with Mason and Ryan.

  100 total miles
total runs - 25
average miles ran each time - 4
fastest pace - 4/5/14 Know Your Craft 5k 7:13 min/mi
slowest pace - 4/19/14 5.35 mile jog on treadmill 11:12 min/mi
shortest run -  2 miles on 4/15/14
longest run - 6 miles (tie) on 4/8 and 4/22
# of races - 1

May will bring 2 more races and a whole lot more running (hopefully).  With one extra day in the month, I should be able to knock out more miles than April right?
