through it all, I always knew running would still be there, whether I skipped a run or not. so after receiving my Year End report from Daily Mile, I wasn't too surprised with the statistics.
418 total miles - an average of 8 miles per week - total of 162 workouts
January - 32 miles
February - 23 miles
March - 10 miles (gave birth to Mason 3/29)
April - 24 miles
May - 64 miles (most miles in 2012)
June - 41 miles
July - 46 miles
August - 60 miles (broke wrist 8/29)
September - 11 miles (had surgery 9/7)
October - 22 miles
November - 43 miles
December - 43 miles
So I look towards 2013 for new running goals and more mileage. I'm hoping to break 23 minutes and get a new 5k PR ... I'm hoping to run a sub 1:50 hour half marathon, also getting a new PR ... and I've thrown around the idea of running my first (and only) full marathon in the fall. Or my latest idea is participating in the Ragnar Relay Napa Valley in September.
At the end of the day, though, I'll remember that life will sometimes get in the way of running and that's ok. I'll make adjustments as needed with training based on what my family needs, and more importantly what Mason needs from me.
