A riot almost broke out ...

... In front of the childcare room this morning at the YMCA. On our way to the gym this morning I never stopped to realize how busy and crowded the gym would be the Monday after Thanksgiving.

When Mason and I walked inside the gym and headed to the childcare room, we were greeted with a "room is full, come back in 15 minutes" sign. I considered driving home and skipping my treadmill run but I figured Mason and I could wait.

As we waited, more and more parents and kids showed up to the childcare room and were annoyed at the wait. One dad in particular kept commenting on how inconvenient the wait was and "I guess dad will have to skip another work out."

So dramatic. Finally an extra YMCA employee was sent to help watch the kids and we were allowed to drop our kids off.

I ran 3.25 miles in 24:45 minutes and raced back to my almost crying baby. One day Mason will finally enjoy spending some time in the playroom with the complete strangers.

As if running 3.25 miles in the morning wasn't enough, Mason and I took a 2 mile walk in the afternoon. Mason had finally fallen asleep in the BOB stroller so I kept walking around our neighborhood after stopping by the post office.

Looking forward to day 3 of working out tomorrow.
