VBGB Beer Hall & Garden

Friday night I had a cheeseburger, like normal pre-race tradition states.

Ryan, Mason, and I met up with our friends Lori and Brandon at a "new to us" location, VBGB Beer Hall & Garden.  Located a few miles from us in an area called NC Music Factory, VBGB is the perfect type of place to sit around with a few friends sampling some delicious beer and food.

I ordered the 1/2 lb certified Angus beef burger ... although the menu says you can choose from 3 types of bread, I was not given an option so I'm assuming it was a kaiser roll (maybe the pretzel roll and brat roll are only for the sausages and hot dogs?)

Toppings included a slice of pepper jack cheese, pickles, onions, lettuce, and tomato.  On the side were ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard.

The burger was big and pretty tasty.  The patty itself lacked flavor but fortunately was juicy.  Overall a good pre-race meal but not my favorite burger in the Queen City.
