one guess as to who joined me on my run this morning ...
I should've taken his (unspoken) advice and gone running at 5:15a when he first woke up. Instead I fed him and put him back down to sleep. He woke up at 7:30a and by the time we each got fed and ready to go on the run, it was 9a and already very humid and muggy.
Mile 1 - 10:00
Mile 2 - 19:40 (9:40 pace)
Mile 3 - 29:05 (9:25 pace)
3.1 miles - 29:50 minutes
We walked for 1 minute as a warm up, walked two different times for 30 seconds each, and walked for 45 seconds as a cool down.
So far this year I have run 243 miles ... last year my total mileage was 570. Last July I ran 60 miles and this July I only ran 46.
If I even want to tie my mileage from last year (which I don't ... I want to run more) I still have 327 miles to run in only 5 months. That averages out to approximately 66 miles a month, or around 16.5 miles a week. With 2 half marathons on the horizon, it seems likely that I will surpass my mileage from last year.
