A Walk in the Rain and some planking

It's been raining on and off in Charlotte since yesterday, making it gray and gloomy around here.

Mason and I had a lunch date with a friend and her son Carson at noon and headed off on our daily walk to the restaurant.  It was overcast and cloudy, but not raining at that point.  Usually Mason would doze off during his stroller walk but the stubborn little boy stayed awake the entire time.  Lucky for me he stayed relatively quiet (and awake) during lunch.

Unfortunately the rain was coming down pretty hard when it was time to leave the restaurant.  Mason stayed nice and dry underneath the top of the stroller, whereas I wasn't as lucky.
Our walk to and from the restaurant totaled a little over one mile.  My knee is still bothering me so running is not on the horizon any time soon.

I also did 50 sit ups and did a "plank" for 45 seconds.

I found this neat tip from Men's Fitness on "the Plank."
"Get into pushup position on the floor.
Now bend your elbows 90 degrees and rest your weight on your forearms. Your elbows should be directly beneath your shoulders, and your body should form a straight line from your head to your feet. Hold the position for as long as you can. Your goal should be to hold it for two minutes."

Day #19 of my work out streak!
