First bowl of the year

This morning I veered away from my usual breakfast sandwich. Instead I made a green smoothie at home (featuring banana, spinach, soymilk, vanilla protein powder, and ice) and packed some oatmeal for work.

I haven't had oatmeal at all in 2012 and figured this morning would be a good time to have the wholesome treat.



Into the bowl went some quick cooking oatmeal, steaming hot water, light brown sugar, and a banana.

What a difference it makes to start your day off with healthy food. I'm feeling more energetic already!
