17 weeks

this morning  I woke up dreading doing my run.  I hadn't run since Wednesday and knew I had to get one in.  I lounged around in bed catching up on Twitter and Facebook while snacking on a 100 calorie mini Clif Bar (chocolate chip flavor).  After noticing the temperature outside was hovering around low 40's I definitely did not want to head out to go running.  I saw that Ryan was getting ready for his 5 mile run so I figured if he could do it, so could I.  We headed out on different running routes .. he literally turned right out of the house while I turned left.

I finished the first mile in 8:23 minutes and realized I was probably going a little too fast.  I took a 2 minute walking break after 15 minutes, and finished the 2nd mile around 17:20 minutes.  At this point I realized that I probably shouldn't have been running "so fast" and wasn't feeling all that great.  I got a cramp on my left side and got worried about Baby C.  I told myself to run until the 27:00 minute mark and I could take another 3 minute walking break.  The rest of the run averaged right under a 9 minute/mile pace.  I even saw Ryan finishing up his run while I was trying to finish my last 3/4 mile.  I finished strong at 8:48 mile/min pace.

After sitting on the porch with Ryan for a little bit to cool off, I told him to take my week 17 pictures.
Here they are in all of there sweaty, running girl glory:
Long sleeves and capris during the 45 degree run
 There's the baby bump!
The baby bump is definitely noticeable now from the side view.
