lunch at the YMCA

today's lunch break was spent on the treadmill at the YMCA.  I'm scheduled to work until 7pm tonight and figured I wouldn't have time (or motivation) to do any running after that.  I successfully completed the following:
  • 4.05 miles in 33 minutes (4 miles in 32:20 minutes, 40 seconds of walking as cool down)
after a quick shower I made myself a smoothie.  I used the usual ingredients to make my green monster:
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • few pieces of frozen banana
  • 1 large handful of spinach
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup vanilla soy milk
like my festive cup?
by this time my lunch break had dwindled down and I packed myself some food to bring back to the office.  I made myself a peanut butter and honey apple butter sandwich on a 100 calorie sandwich thin.  all parts of my sandwich were from Trader Joe's (shocker).  on the side I packed some of my favorite chips ... hot molten wing flavored Ruffles.  
now it's time to stare at the clock and count down until it's time to go home ... maybe I'll sneak in some work too.
