Yesterday morning I dragged Ryan out of bed to head off on our morning run. We had plans to head over to our friend Brandon's place for a brunch pot luck and I still had plenty to do in preparation.
My legs were still sore from Friday's race and from walking so much during golf on Saturday. We struggled through 2.8 miles in 23 minutes and called it a day. I stick by this mantra, "Something is better than nothing" when it comes to running. Better to head out there for a mile or two than to skip a work out all together.
Once I was showered I started prepping the food I was bringing over ... turkey sausage patties, apple wood smoked bacon, and chocolate chip pancakes. All of the food turned out really well and a good time was had by all. It's hard to screw up brunch when there are bloody mary's served alongside the food :)
