liquid lunch

Sometimes a refreshing smoothie is all that sounds appetizing on a hot day.  I headed home for my lunch break and brought out the blender to make a green monster.  In it went:
  • frozen banana
  • handful of baby spinach
  • vanilla soy milk
  • vanilla protein powder
 I grabbed my goblet of green goodness (how's that for alliteration) and headed outside with the latest Shape magazine.  I only lasted about 10 minutes since it was so darn hot, but I definitely enjoyed the break from fluorescent lighting and crammed cubicle. 

I've already torn into my rice cakes as an afternoon snack and have a "wildberry fruit strip" with my name on it for later.
