p90x recovery week

Yesterday was the first day of our recovery week for p90x.  The work out was supposed to be 90 minutes of yoga but since Ryan and I are running a 5k on Thursday we decided to run instead.  Ryan did his 3 miles in the morning before work and since I'm such a sleepy head I ran my 3 miles on the treadmill after work.
  • 4.0 - 1 minute warm up
  • 6.0-7.0 28 minutes of running
  • 4.0 - 1 minute cool down
  • total miles 3.22
  • total calories 389
For dinner I made a vegetable lasagna (hopefully recipe will follow with the leftovers post) using zucchini, mushrooms, fresh basil, and ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses. 

The Beat the Heat 5k is on Thursday the 22nd at 7:00pm.  I haven't run a 5k since the Corporate 5k back in April so I'm curious what my time will be.  I'm anticipating a slower pace since it will still be very hot outside.  The race takes place in Maitland so it is relatively close to our house (less than 10 miles).  The cost was only $20 which includes a timing chip and t-shirt.
