The best part of the gym yesterday was working alongside a bulldog puppy. That's right, some dumb guy actually brought his dog with him into the gym and had her just wandering around while he worked out. At first I was giddy with the thought of playing with a new puppy (sorry Honey) but then I realized how unsafe it was for her to be in there. Probably as unsafe as it was for some other dude to be wearing flip flops while working out. Idiots.
Anyways I reversed my usual timeline while in the gym and did weights before cardio. I will probably never do this again. I was already exhausted by the time I got onto the treadmill and I know I didn't push myself as hard as I could've (and should've). I did:
- 3 different shoulder exercises, 3 sets each of 12-15 reps
- 3 different tricep exercises, 3 sets each of 12-15 reps
- 2.25 miles on the treadmill (0 incline) in 20:30 minutes
- 100 crunches
Dinner was pretty boring last night - meat sauce over whole grain pasta shells. I was too preoccupied with cleaning the shower for my house guests this weekend to worry about a balanced meal. Then I had to go to the mall to find a dress for my shower on Sunday. Finally found one at Anthropologie. Now I just need shoes :)
